 Spreading the Gospel and selling good products is the foundation that Danny Joyner, the founder of Country Boy Food Products, built his company on. Country Boy features a wide variety of products including condiments, snacks, seasonings and mixes. Joyner prints a Bible verse, John 3:16, on the back of each package he produces explaining that, "there's a lot of people, whether they're saved or lost, that love good food and fellowship," and that is where the idea for his Christian based food product line originated. Although he understands that "when somebody reads the Gospel, they have to make up their own mind" he still likes to share with them a "taste" of his faith and hopes they enjoy his food according to their own merit. "They can just enjoy the peppers and peanuts and not think another thing about it." Country Boy Foods has a variety of unique products to offer such as authentic sweet hots jalapeno slices, and sweet crunchy butter toffee peanuts. But no southern meal is complete without a side of hush puppies, especially when they are made from Country Boy's Hush Puppy Mix! Hot Sauce is a big seller as well. Country Boy's line is expanding quickly, and by Independence Day, Joyner says all product lines, including new products, such as cane syrup and hot ketchup should be available in Tom Thumb stores across the Gulf Coast and in 11 Wal-Mart Supercenters from Tuscaloosa to Panama City! The company plans to offer gift sets in Wal-Mart stores for Christmas that will include food items and appropriate cooking gadgets.
